To increase your AC efficiency, make sure nothing impedes this process for your outdoor unit. This means:
- Reconsidering the placement of nearby walls, fences, vegetation or overhanging structures.
- Clearing debris from around your unit.
- Allowing 1 - 3 feet of open horizontal space next to intake grills.
- Leaving 4 - 6 feet of vertical clearance.
Heat can easily build up in restricted areas, so keep an eye out for anything that could block airflow, and enjoy more efficient cooling!
