Grogg has sent very polite, knowledgeable technicians to our house. I like that they send a text when they are headed my way so I can put my dogs away.

John did a great job serving our AC for the summer season. He is friendly and knowledgeable. He asked about any issues and explained what was done.

Labor warranty check on hvac system.
Maintenance on 8 yr old Fujitsu mini split. Added one pound of r410a to the system. Blower wheel has a build up of dirt on it and unit appears to have some mold growth on it. Left quotes for wheel cleaning and air cleaner for unit.
Cooling maintenance on geothermal unit. Water temp in 66/out70. Refrigerant pressures of 118/227. Temp drop of 24 degrees. Cleaned drain with dish soap and cleaned coil with foam cleaner.
Maintenance on hvac system. Water panel did not need changed in humidifier. Surge protection and Reme halo still in good working order.
18 yr old heil ac low on refrigerant. Condenser coil is pretty deteriorated. Added one pound of outdated r22 to keep ac from freezing. Refrigerant will leak back out and we don’t know how long it will last. Customer is scheduled to get a quote for new system today 1-3pm.
Maintenance check on 17 yr old carrier furnace. Gas pressure was very low causing high carbon monoxide numbers. Adjusted gas pressure up and co numbers look much better. Unit is running fine for now.
Cooling check on hvac system. Changed dirty air filter. Checked amp draws, refrigerant pressures, and temperature drop. Cleaned drain line and condenser unit.
Maintenance check on heat pump system
Maintenance check on 26 yr old hvac system. Draft motor was leaking a lil bit of water. Removed and applied some silicone to help stop leak. Other than that the system is running just fine. Only thing going against it is age.
No issues found with system. 22 degree delta T, 103/225 refrigerant pressure on a 63 degree morning. Customer complaint is low airflow and longer run times. Goodman furnace is already set on max speed of 1215 cfm. Longer run time would be from a combination of efficiency of equipment and furnace slightly undersized for home.
23 year old temp star ac unit was low on outdated r22 refrigerant. Checked evaporator and filter. Changed customer provided filter. Added 3 pounds of refrigerant to the system and did the cooling maintenance check on unit today. Furnace is 26 yrs old.
Ac not receiving 24 v signal to run. Stat wire going to ac was chewed through by a mouse under the porch. Ran new stat wire through crawlspace, under porch and out to unit and it is now running.
Filter box was sitting just barely behind frame of unit keeping us from pulling the filter out. Cut and bent section of metal over that was blocking filter. Changed air filter and reassembled package unit.
Maintenance tech cleared clogged drain line earlier in the week but couldn’t get all of the water out of drain pan in attic when he was there. When plumbers were there doing work they noticed water in pan and thought there was an issue. I verified drain lines were clear by blowing nitrogen through lines.
Anniversary check on hvac system. Air filter was pretty dirty. Homeowner has multiple pets in the home. Filter should probably be changed twice a year. Water panel was already replaced by homeowner.
Replaced two damaged zone dampers.
20 yr old heil hvac system. No abnormal noise present on todays visit. Ac unit has a weak capacitor (35+3 mfd), customer declined replacing it today. Refrigerant pressure looks fine.
Replaced board and stat under warranty
Added a little refrigerant to make up from the bit of refrigerant that gets lost from years of hooking gauges up to ac unit. Also repaired stat wire going into ac unit.
4 yr old heil heat pump unit has good refrigerant pressure. Adjusted fan speed from high(black wire) down to medium high(blue wire) to match with 3 ton heat pump unit. Evaporator coil and blower wheel are dirty, customer declined cleaning today.
Unit had a blown fuse in the system preventing operation. Repaired broken wire in furnace and replaced fuse. Also found and repaired several wires inside condenser unit that mice had chewed up. Replaced thermostat per customer request and discussed an air cleaner for the home because I noticed mold growth on evaporator drain pan.
Evaporator coil is a solid block of ice. Furnace filter is pretty dirty. Customer was also filtering in an upstairs return causing additional lack of airflow across the coil. Customer has elected to let coil thaw naturally versus paying labor charge for us to thaw the the coil. Customer is going to get new filter themselves and will call back if there are any other issues.
Replaced failed capacitor on 25 yr old Goodman ac unit. Explained the chance of fan motor failing in the near future. Did cooling maintenance today to drop high refrigerant pressure from dirty coil. I would not advise any big repairs on this unit due to age and outdated refrigerant type.
Found and repaired burnt wire inside condenser connecting to contactor. Hooked up hose to washer line and sprayed condenser coil out.
Replaced inverter kit under warranty.
