Split system using 20x25x4 filter. All checks good at this time and system is operating properly.

2007 Goodman split system using 16x25x1 filter. Customers mentioned noticing the example of : asking system to cool to 73 and it may pass that number and they still hear the system running. One explanation of the sound I found was the fan function at t-stat was set to on rather than auto, allowing the blower motor to continuously run. For the temp difference, the t-stat has a 1 degree leniency for its threshold, (if asking for 73, won’t shut off til it hit 72), combined with continuos fan to circulate and mild temperatures this year, the circulating air has the potential to further drop the temp a degree if it isn’t having to fight higher ambient temps. All mechanical inspections today I found no issue and system is operating within normal ranges.

Performed heating and cooling check. Everything is running as it should. Customer will talk with wife about maintenance plan. Customer mentioned getting a new filter, left a quote for filter upgrade. Highly recommend surge protectors to protect equipment. Left a quote for that.

Performed cooling maintenance for customer. Unit is older train but still working fine. Everything looks good. Customer is buying virus hunter duct cleaning. Included iaq for this package is 120v surge protector and reme halo. Duct cleaners will need to bring those and install. Customer is approved through GreenSky and will pay with that. Also left quote for 40 gal electric hot water tank. Both pipes are 3/4” copper.

Replaced gas valve under warranty and set gas pressure

No issues found with system. To hear customer experience it sounds like the delay function. Explained to customer and offered to make some adjustments in thermostat. Customer did not want to change settings. We did go ahead and change air filter while here today. Spoke with customer about adding an air cleaner to system to help with dust in the home.

Replace existing furnace

24 yr old furnace has multiple issues. Only blower was running when I arrived. Found that the temperature limit switch was unable to reset itself. Furnace is overheating due to age of equipment and dirt in the system that has accumulated. Combustion analysis shows higher levels of carbon monoxide in the flue vent. The drain on furnace has been disconnected and it dripping into a container that has to be dumped. Drain should be hooked up to a trap to prevent a vacuum that would keep the unit from draining properly. Also customer has issues with thermostat. Given the age of unit and multiple issues it is not recommended to repair. Customer is getting an estimate to replace unit today 1-3pm.

Performed Platinum Comfort Club Membership Tune-Up on Heating System 2009 Coleman modular furnace and Rheem a/c using (2) 16x20x1 filters. Found blower motor run capacitor well out of range rated for a 7.5mfd and replaced it. Heavy build up on blower motor and wheel, cleaned what was possible however would need to pull motor to address the wheel housing itself. Good gas pressures and operation during check. On outdoor unit thoroughly cleaned condenser coil and found dual cap rated for 50/3mfd low on compressor side. Due to time of season customer wished to wait to address the cap if needed when spring comes around. Good line temp on cooling. Outdoor unit doesn’t have preferred clearing between back side of unit and the house but overall is operating as well as it can. Homeowner will establish Cozy HVAC today, but once planned electrical work is done, plan to add their second system to agreement.

Replaced limit switch and adjusted gas pressure down to help with the temperature rise. Tested operation, system is functioning well.

Service Call Fee: Main limit switch failed. Needs replaced. Will order and schedule repair.

Performed Platinum Comfort Club Membership Tune-Up on Heating System 2018 Ameristar heat pump w/ (approx 18x22x1) washable filter. All checks good at this time. Electric emergency heat, no gas present.

Service Call Fee: no airflow. inspection found coil is very plugged up. quoted coil cleaning

Performed Platinum Comfort Club Membership Tune-Up on Heating System Cleaned and checked operation of equipment. Changed Aprilaire 413 filter. Verified working status of surge protector on furnace but found none on air conditioner. Recommend installation of one that way both heating and cooling systems are protected. No outdoor water connection to clean coil.

Service Call Fee: drain line was clogged causing pan to overfill into the flex ductwork. Duct was detached from both ends. Cleared obstruction in drain line and reattached both ends of duct work back up.

Performed Platinum Comfort Club Membership Tune-Up on Cooling System: Performed yearly cooling checks. Checked the disconnect and thermostat wiring. Checked the capacitor and motor amps. Cleaned the outside condenser coil. Checked refrigerant pressure and temperatures. Everything checks out good. Recommend adding a surge protector to the air conditioning equipment.
